Kintoki was ass. It's the same story we've seen over and over again from Toriyama. One boy has unnatural powers and is indirectly exiled from society (or does not fit into a specific society) until something happens where he has to meet other people and work towards a common goal, and these people all become friends. Wash, rinse, repeat. |

Twisted Fate - my affairs in order.

This was cool, but it was indeed a little different. Man, I'm a little mad about how Goku was sent away. Freeza all of a sudden is worried about Super Saiyan God. I mean, you can easily tell it is all just getting thrown in to piece together. 10 minutes sounds about right, yeah. This would be great if the inexcusable mistakes were avoided. |

I guess the plothole of the reasons for sending Kakarotto to earth could be explained as Raditz simply interpreting it as him being sent to destroy the life there, considering it's not as if he knew what his father was thinking. As for the remainder of the special, I still found the Toei Bardock special to be a better account, as whilst it does contain it's fair set of plotholes and PIS, it still didn't have something as obvious as Goku being given Saiyan armour as an infant. That, and I overall prefer the designs of the special. Bardock's armour as designed by Toei looks for more unique than that shown here, plus Vegeta looks really scrawny. Even if he's about 5, Gohan was far less scrawny at his age. D'em Kid Vegeta pythons have gone in the Toei wind, brotha! |

...you're joking right? Dr. Slump? Cowa? Pola And Roid? Pink? Toriyama does not always do the Dragon Ball similarity. But it's what ever; and about the topic:
Yeah that was my first thought, but then it's like how did Raditz know Goku was on Earth when he wasn't on planet Vegeta when they sent Goku? He said he remember Goku was sent to Earth but how would he know? He would have to assume he also died along with Gine and Bardock since he was no where near planet Vegeta. |

I said after Sand Land, which throws every example you just mentioned out of the window. Sand Land, Kintoki, and Oishii Shima no Ū-sama are all pretty much the same story. And if you really want to add insult to injury here, Toriyama basically ripped off the plot of one of his own works to create Jaco. |

Perhaps he was already scheduled to be sent to Earth, but Bardock decided to speed up the process of it. Whilst this causes a problem in the possibility of this outlier being spotted by Freeza, it's unlikely, considering that whilst Freeza is cautious, he wouldn't be to the extent that he'd become concerned about one Saiyan being sent off one month too early. |

Not really, see you said, Kintoki was ass. It's the same story we've seen over and over again from Toriyama. This would imply that Kintoki is the same thing Akira kept writing multiple times before. It's different from your other post when you meant to say everything he wrote after Sand Land sucked. I don't know, I mean in the link Bardock says they were gonna send Goku off to another planet, and as they put the pod down he says he programmed the pod to go to Earth meaning he just came up with it. Gine does tell Goku she was going to let Raditz know about it too but that's assuming he went to Vegeta and left the planet again. At this point is all up in the air but honestly I see this as a big inconsistency. Also, seeing Vegeta and Raditz together kinda reminds me of how fucked up Vegeta really was lol I mean sheesh if we take this as canon then as you can see, they were partaking in missions for a long ass time. You would assume after Raditz died years later, Vegeta would feel something but he had no sympathy whatsoever. |

Well he did kill Nappa himself due to him being too weak from his point of view, so having no sympathy for Raditz isn't that surprising. |
